The American King Shepherd Parent Club
The American King Shepherd Club International (AKSCI) is the one and only parent club of The American King Shepherd that is recognized by The American Rare Breed Association (ARBA).
As guardians of this breed we are dedicated to promoting and preserving the breed standard while continuing to improve the beauty, health and temperaments of our breed.
The American King Shepherd is a rare breed still in development that resembles a large over-sized German Shepherd without the severe rear angulation, possesses thick, dense bone with an impressive head.
The American King Shepherd is an intelligent, gentle dog with a lower drive, yet still protective of family that excels at all type of work.
The breeds used in the development of The American King Shepherd are European German Shepherds, Shiloh Shepherds (another rare breed dog), Alaskan Malamutes, and Akita's.
